Default Gentlemen - I'm OUT

On Saturday I traded the Disco in for a Wolfsburg.
It has been a pleasure working with you guys on here! I appreciate all of the information you have shared with me, and the patience and flames!

I have already sold the spare parts I listed. Sorry!

I wish all of you the very best - happy Rovering!

Chris

Topper -
I feel that I will as well. I LOVED the Rover. Really did.

However, with 4 kids (7 to 19) the budget demanded I get something that did not constantly drain the wallet from repairs AND gas. Already have the diagnostic software because my son has a 2001 Jetta.

I miss the Ghost already...my 12 year old actually teared up when he realized we were leaving it at the dealer.

You guys have also been a big reason why I enjoyed it. You took a LOT of the intimidation out of tackling repairs on my own!

Again - thanks for everything!

Best Wishes to you. Cannot blane you at all.

If I were buying anything closely resembling a new car these days, I would choose one of the VW's as well.Their line is one of the most awesome at the best starting prices.

A Disco can be fun if you do need to go somewhere everyday in it. Sucks spending that much on gas alone. If you have significant issues- I should say when- it can be devastating.

Yup - this 2010 was as close to "New" as I wanted to go, still got a GREAT deal, and, for only an additional $500 (TOTAL!, Not per year!), got 4 year/48,000 warranty!

I really DID love the Disco, but, the seals are leaking, ball joints need replacing, window seals are completely parted due to dry rot, front right brake caliper needs replaced, needs new rotors, "black" expansion tank started leaking, just fixed a fuel line leak, however, the fill tube is cracked - so NOT forming the pressure as it needs to, need to get new tires, sunroof started to leak, need to re-flow solder to make rear windows roll down again, drivers window needs new control arm etc...etc....etc... PLUS $350 a month in gas.

ALL that to say that I STILL loved it - and - WILL probably get another when I can afford to have a "toy". @126,429 and all the above wrong - I STILL got $1500 on the trade in - which was about $1000 more than what I was expecting.

If you ever get south of the PA/MD line, let me know.

Best regards,

Chris
