Default Getting the car ready for smog check

HI friends,

In my attempt to get my car register I must get my 95 disco smog.
I am located in California and my local smog check person is not a very friendly person to deal with. The car was none operational for a little more than two years. The car is running ok but i want to prep the car so that it will pass the test. Last time it was smog it pass with no problems.

Does any one have any advice for getting this old warrior pass?

I welcome your comments and advise.

Thanks!
G.

Run a tank of premium gas in it. Change the oil. Change the fuel filter. Cap rotor wires are cheap.

Yea you can play w the timing. I've heard rubbing alcohol in the tank helps too. Never tried it. I look at smog tests as good thing. I want it to be running as it should. So I usually don't try the tricks

Run premium fuel a tank or two, get it good and hot run 20 min or so on the freeway just before you take it in to test. New spark plugs are a good thing too!
Good luck!
