Default Is this a good buy?

Hey all,

New to land rovers, found this one online and want to get it just don't want to dive into a money pit.

I have a 1997 Land Rover Discovery 1 forsale. The Land Rover has been highly modified and drives great. In the past few months it has made several trips to the outerbanks, Uwharrie, Virginia and the mountains. The previous owner of this Land Rover was the main fabricator and part owner of Rover Tym so all the body armor and modifications were done by Rover Tym. All the windows, door locks and lights work.

***The pictures show seat covers but the seats are not ripped or torn, i just put them on because of the beach***

Recent Work:
Brady British Motor Works:
-all fluids changed out
-new AC compressor
-Oil pan gasket
-Front main seal

Modifications:
- Great Basin Axles - Rear has a Detroit Locker and front has a True Trac - $2,699
-Rover Tym - 3" lift
-Rover Tym - Rock Sliders
-Rover Tym - Rear Bumper
-Rover Tym - Skid Plates
-Rover Tym - Front bumper with Winch
-Rover Tym - Suspension Cones
***Armor alone is about $3,000***
- Warn 9.5i winch
-Entire Engine was rebuilt in 2008 by Rover Automotive - over $5,000 - Just over 50,000 miles on the rebuilt engine

All maintenance paperwork is available and provided. Body has 200k and has been used heavily off road.

I'm not seeing a price, but I'll assume it's this rig for $4000 > 1997 Land Rover Adventure Ready and that it's safe to say was ridden hard and put away wet often.
It's a USED TRUCK, so same rules apply.... GET IT LOOKED AT by someone/indy shop who knows more than you! Or take a chance and say Good-Bye to your $$$$$$. Good luck.

I bet that was a hard 50,000 miles.

Looks like a fun truck if you have a lot of tools and money to play with.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say hell yea it is. You couldn't buy all those parts collectively new or used for $4,000. This comes with a free running driving truck attached to all those parts. No this will never win the Pebble Beach car show. Yes it will probably require some fixing and maintenance and repairs. But none of them will most likely be as expensive as buying all those parts. You can skip the modifying and buying parts stage and go right to off roading fun. I've had trucks that were stock and had never seen dirt with pristine paint. Personally I've had the most fun and enjoy the truck that did not look like the pristine example. This one seems perfect to go right out and do with these trucks were made to do.
