Kinda correct, snorkels on gas engines are for dusty conditions not water crossings.
The higher the air intake the less the dust.
You CAN drive in deep water with a gas engine IF you do it correctly.

BUT you MUST do it correctly.
Short out enough spark plugs or other electrics that control spark and the engine will die.

How can you test a ignition coil to see if it works?

There is your problem, you are driving WAY to fast and water is coming into the engine bay and getting things soaked.
The trick with water is a nice slow steady pace.
See the wall of water you are throwing to the side?
That same wall is coming into the engine bay.
Driving fast through water like that you also run the risk of hydro locking your engine because you can suck water into the air filter and then into the engine.
Do that and you are buying a new engine.

I checked the air filter it was dry, lesson learned

Sam, who's plug wires are you running, how old are they?
With good wires, you can run thru a fair amount of water with no misfires from the wires bleeding to the block.
I can power scrub my engine while it is running and it never misfires with an 8 year old set of 8 mm Magnacor wires.
In your case, your ECU is also in the engine compartment and if it gets wet, you are dead in the water.
Also, your 45 code is indicating your right 02's are in trouble, have you ever changed them?

Some wires the P/O put in, they don't have the long boot to cover the whole plug. I looked for the ECU and its not where the hanyes or rave say it should be I haven't changed the 02 since i got it last yr in june. I've had other issues to tackle. It's on my list, I cranked it last night and it sounds like no spark. For now I'll change all plugs till I get some better wires and go from there...

As far as the wiring harness goes, all roads lead to ECU. Just follow them. It's a metal box under a black plastic cover.

Ok, so I changed the 4 right plugs. Code cleared. I've yet to change the wires, once they come in I'll do that. Gonna change the left side Friday. I tried to start it and combustion can be heard but it won't start. I know its not the coil, I removed the wire to it and the slight combustion was not present. Good thing is no water entered the engine. I have a feeling its the wires cause I have to wiggle them around to make contact with plugs. Don't want to use the dielectric grease I got cause its 9buck for 3oz. I'll wait till I have the new wires to use it. Once I replace all plugs, wires and it still won't start what else could it be?
