YEah I try to keep her going, and she tries to **** on me. But we love each other we really do.
Anyway... 1997 SE on stock suspension and it rides great on the (mild) trail. I so want to pony up for a proper OME suspension, but I just know that investment will be quickly thrown back in my face with.... something. lol
The only 'mods' i've done to 'er are TF HD steering, DIY Saudi grill, and a pair of vice grips in place of the hood release handle.
Arapahoe NF, Jones Pass, just west of Denver, CO. It's about 45 minutes from my place on a normal day... Took the kids up for a quick campout before school starts.
I'm a big fan of stock or close to stock D1's. Nothing wrong with new shocks/springs or any suspension parts for that matter. These trucks are now closing in on being 25 years old and suspension parts would have to be replaced at some point. I own the same color as yours in a 1998. Mine came with the fog lights housing and lower bumper assembly like yours. I wanted, I guess to me, a cleaner look with improved front ground clearance so I did the Camel Trophy mod and removed the fog lamp assembly and trimmed the end caps. The fog lamps would fill up with water and look like fish tanks anyway. See photo. If you ever wanted more clearance for the approach angle its a good one to do.

That's cool. I have looked at that fog light valance many times and wanted to rip it off! Don't know why I haven't yet.
