Default Greasing trouble

I bought a professional Lincoln grease gun (model 1134) because I was tired of dealing with my cheapo Walmart one. When I tried to use it on the zerks, it would only lock onto half the zerk no matter how hard I pressed. Grease would just ooze around the side of the zerk. Has anyone else has trouble with the zerks on our D1s? I'm trying to figure out if they're just too small, or the tool just sucks.

I have the harbor freight air powered gun. The bendy hose fit fine on all the zerks.

I dont know if it is the same one that comes with the guns, but they sell a bendy hose for $3...

The Lincoln I got has a hose too. I read it's supposed to be one of the best guns available and has an adjustable nozzle but it doesn't seem to rotate. I wonder if the zerks are to blame.

Lol wow, yeah I would think a $200 grease gun would come with a hose at least equivalent to HF!

If the walmart gun fit fine though, I would assume the problem is with the new hose attachment?

did the old one work? could just be the fitting on the end of the hose, they can be changed, and they will have problems at times.
i've got one of these, it's great, but i use it at work and work on caterpillar equipment, theyve got alot of grease fittings that are hard to get to so the magnetic base is handy.

the pistol grip ones aren't that great from my experience, I've got just a basic one at home and it does the job fine.

The little sprngs in the nozzle might be stiff from being new

Pistol grip grease guns have their place. For instance, when greasing the centering ball on a Tom Woods DC driveshaft. Its a royal pain to hold the syringe tip into the flush zerk, hold the driveshaft up to widen the opening, and hold and pump a lever grease gun.

Grease ? I don't understand... Why would you have to intentionally grease anything on this vehicle...

It leaks so much that everything is constantly bathed in one or another type of lubricant...

I broke a zerk on one of my ball joints because the grease fitting got stuck on it. That reminds me... I need to find a new grease fitting...

Just buy a bag of them at the local parts store. I did that to replace a few and in cases like yours. They are cheap....
