Default Great deals on RockAuto

https://www.rockauto.com/RSS/vehicle...l=en&html=true

I stocked up on some maintenance items since pricing was so good. Gates serpentine belts for $9, pads for $7-8, Gates upper radiator hose for $9, and NGK plugs for $0.85 among other deals.

Just sharing in case you want to take advantage.

I see on RockAuto they have the API brand ignition coils for a 1995 Kia Sportage on sale for $9.55.
I believe these are the same coil packs that can fit our Disco 2 and RR P38 V8's.

My experience with Rockauto:
If its the last one, its almost always damaged. Always check the new part before teardown!

I never had that issue with Rock and get lots of wholesale discount items, so usually the last or down to a few (and I order em all). Cant get some really good deals through em, but they sell a lot of **** brands too. API often repackages stuff. I bought some API soft brake lines for my LR3, they were not Rover branded but they were the OEM maker! Paid $3 each or something like that. Awesome deal.

I have bought a bunch of stuff for my disco from rockauto, 2 parts just to be aware of are the master cylinder and the PCV hoses. Master cylinder works great but sits slightly crooked, meaning you cant properly check your brake fluid level. Not a big deal but just so people are aware. The PCV hoses were a bit of a pain, the NAS driver side one worked fine, the pass side was not big enough to fit over the nipple on the valve cover and it has a kink in it from me forcing it on. I dont think it affects function, but a real pain for a brand new part.

I ordered a thermostat and when it arrived, it said Fail Safe on the box. seems this thermostat , when it opens all the way, locks open and needs to be replaced when that happens. I am sure there is a reason or use for it, but not in my truck! I didn't realize I even ordered it. just wanted a 180 thermostat.

I have been buying from Rock auto for years now. I love them there prices are great. I moved out to Colorado 2+ years ago. The town I live in (Denver suburbs) they won't ship to.
