fwiw they dont seem to sell the "white" expansion tanks anymore... I ordered one from rovah and it came as black.

 

I just preventably ordered the cheap white one with the blue cap from discount body parts, it was 40 bucks shipped to my door. Is there any reason to avoid these?

 

Nope. In days gone by you'd ask if the expansion tank was black or white, easy way to tell if original or replaced. We buy these second, third, fourth hand usually with no repair history so you ask basic questions when troubleshooting over the net. The replacements at the time were white. Now they're black or white.....
