Everyones opinion will differ but here goes. LED's on an older Land Rover just don't look right. I like to keep accessories period correct and would have Hella halogen lights. 500's are cool looking. 3000's are great. Again, who cares what I think. Do what you like. For the love of Pete don't do lightbars.

The LED version of the 500 look fantastic in my opinion and put so much more light on the path ahead. Well worth it and I wouldn't even bother with the halogen version
Not sure if the hellas you mentioned are different sizes, but if they are I would go with the physically larger ones. I have some 6" KC lights on my rig and I think they look small compared to the photos of camel trophy discos and generally I think the big lights look more "euro". I would also consider converting to LED as mentioned. Headlight revolution (the website) sells excellent quality LED replacement bulbs (only very few LED bulbs actually produce the correct beam pattern during a conversion, and headlight revolution only sells the good quality ones that will actually work properly). this will give you more light in addition to likely using less power, as im sure I am probably maxing out my alternator with 5 roof lights. Good luck!
