Default Help No brake fluid reaching rear calipers

ok so i have been battling brake problems on my 96 disco 1. I replaced the front pads and bled the front lines using a vaccum bleeder. the fluid was very dark and chunky so i was going to bleed the rear brakes also. This is where the trouble began the rear breaks will not bleed and asfar as i can tell are not working at all. I have pulled the system apart and have found that the fluid is not passing thru the Pressure reducing valve. also the abs seems to be working normally on the front.
i am not sure if the problem is the Pressure reducing valve or my bleeding method.
in the rave manual i saw no special instructions for bleeding........

any help would be great,
thanks,
Cassidy

Is fluid leaving the master cylinder port for the rear brakes? That's the line closest to the booster.

Try the two person bleed method. One guy operates the bleed screw while the other operates the brake pedal. Brake pedal down, open bleed screw, close bleed screw, brake pedal up. Repeat. If you don't have a second person I'd open one rear bleed screw and go push the brake pedal. If you come back to a puddle of fluid you you're getting fluid back there. I have a vacuum bleeder and I'm not that impressed with it.

the lines themselves are fine, there is fluid coming out of the master cyl and going into the abs module. then out of the abs into the pressure reducing valve but not out of the valve for the rear, no matter how hard i step on the brakes

So you have fluid coming out of the ABS, but if you press on the brake pedal does the fluid come out under pressure?

You already said it, chunky stuff came out, your system is clogged.
