High idle on 95 3.9

Just went threw this and fixed it.
1. Checked timing off by 2 on the plus side (adjusted). The 3.9 will loose time I have had 3 of them if your off by 2 or more + or - it will effect it.
2. Pulled o2 sensors sprayed with non chlor. brake clean let dry and reinstalled.
3. Replaced the cap and button. Rovers North has the factory one's get them and only factory.
4. New plugs standard champion stay away from plat.
5. Replaced fuel temp sensor.
6. Checked air gap on the distrib.
7. Clean out vacuum port on intake for timing advance.
8. Run tank of real gas non corn crap.
That should help or eliminate your issues.
I have already done what you guys have with the stepper motor and it did not work.
Also on a side note high flow cats and a flow master 50 sound good and makes the 3.9 run a lot better.
If you keep running the high idle you will burn your cats out because of the extra fuel you are dumping in to the engine that is not burning off that's why I have the new cats and flow master.
As for you 4.0 guys sorry the 3.9 is easier to run down these issues with.

Forgot to also tell you with 95 obd1 when you put a new part on that talks to the computer make sure you disconnect the battery before you put it on and reset the computer. The computer has to learn the new part and take new readings to properly adjust the system it takes about 50miles under normal driving. And I'm sure some will say you don't need to do that and to that I say what ever your here for help take if you want it makes no diff to me.

Sorry about the delay in my replay. I got married and was in Vegas all week. Today, I put the used TPS I ordered in and have no change on my idle situation. This is a 96 disco 4.0. My next move is to replace the IACV. Just ordered a new one for ten bucks. Now, I have been reading on other searches that if you replace the Idle Air Control Valve, you have to take the truck to a Land Rover dealership in order for them to reprogram the parameters into the ECU. Is this really true? I would think the computer can adapt to the new part.
I also looked over the engine for any obvious vacuum lines leaking. Did not see anything, but can't rule that out yet. I hooked the truck up to the scanner today and my O2 sensors are all throwing codes. I think it's because of the high idle situation. I just passed emissions with this thing 6 months ago. I think that will clear up once I fix this problem.
My starter is starting to putter out, so I just bought a used one for 45 bucks. I love Ebay.
