Maybe he is 'The Falconer'

Doesn't everyone drive around in their Range Rover with a large bird in one hand?

That just screams "I couldn't afford a Series so I modified my Disco to like one"

kind of odd the b pilar is still there. i would have cut that out re-mounted the seatbelt to the cage. Then you can remove that top and it wouldnt look so strange. i probably wouldnt have painted it white either. white doesnt look too bad when the rest of the truck is in tact but here it looks like the roof was some random after thought.

I don't think the roof is painted white, it looks like canvas stretched over the bars. and maybe the B post is till there so they could maintain the front doors complete with glass or something. It does look like whoever built that knew what they were doing (or at least had a really good idea) so I am sure there are reasons for all of it. but yes it looks more like a series design to me, maybe they wanted a newer version of the old classic!

i was thinking leaving all the windows and just remove the roof, trim it with some roll bars and cover it with canvas.

I found this one on the Columbia Off Road site. If I ever do one it will probably be a D2 and keep the rear seats in too. I would not put a top on it at all and only use it for summer months. I would also have a rack system to go with it like the Defenders do. I think I am going to need a bigger shop.

But it will probably never happen ONLY because. I DO like the looks of the disco. A second one would be sweet, but I dont have the time or money to put into building up TWO discoveries..
