idle at 1600rpm help!

Default idle at 1600rpm help!

i have a 99 landrover ds series 1 . i checked for vac leaks replaced the stepper motor , tps ive had the suv for about 1 year and has done it since i got it i need some help please check engine light is on but only threw two codes one fr cat and one for tps that was before i changed it ! any idea's

I bet your ECM just needs to be reset. A dealership or shop with Land Rover diagnostic system can do it. I can do it if you live in southern OR.

Just happened to me, if you have no vacum leak probly need adaptive values reset, means go to dealer or rover Indy shop and have engine ecm reset/ reflashed

DO NOT LET THEM DRILL THE AIR SET SCREW it will not fix the problem

Be sure the dealer has a working t3 or test book before the charge you$175 to do it

Before I had the hardware, an indie shop with an autologic system charged me $20.

im in lakeland florida i would have not the first clue who does that in my area ive tryed googling it i couldnt find any info f yall could help that would be a life saver

i had all the codes cleared and now im waiting on the codes to come up again then imma rin em and let yall know whats being throwed im tired of this reving high **** lol

Rover Rescue Shop (863) 535-5032

Call and ask if they can do an ECM reset. Let us know how much they charge.
