I'm only a short drive away from you once you get there.
What part of Chi Town are you going to be in?

Ahhh...the weather...remember Colorado's weather?
Well forget about that, the weather on the lake (Lake Michigan) is very very unpredictable.
It can literally be 60 and sunny at 10am and be a blizzard by dinner time.
Snow fall can vary from a dusting to ft.
Snow plows have the right of way, if you dont move they will move you.
Make sure you get glass coverage, salt shakers crack windshields, salt is very very hard.
Summers are nice and humid and hot.
Spring is wet, like monsoon wet at times.
Fall is nice, cooler day temps but very nice in the sun to keep you warm.
Your tires are going to suck hairy twins on ice.
Lucky for you spring is only 40 days away, which means flooding when the snow melts and the rain starts.
But keep in mind that it still gets below freezing at night so night driving and early morning driving can be very dangerous.

Are you going to be in IL or IN?
Chicago is huge, I dont know how big your city is, but The Windy City is like huge.

Let us know where when you find out.
The farther from the lake the less wacky the weather.

Wow, clear down by Effingham...you will be like 2 hrs from Chicago, its pretty flat there and the weather will be cold but not to much snow.
Maybe 30 miles to IN.
Its pretty boring down there.
Why the move? New job?

Yea sorry for the loss of excitement! I'm gonna be pissed if I don't see some snow. I got an unexpected layoff Monday, boss didn't even know it was about to happen. So I found another job. I'll be up there anywhere from two weeks to 4 months! UNTILL I get word of a job back down home. I got a wedding to pay for in a few months!

Weddings are overrated. lol
You will see snow, especially this year.
But on a normal year not much, but it sounds like you wont be staying so no worries.
