I'm giving up! Parting it out.
1998 LE I have all the parts as of now, though not in one piece. I was going to try to restore the poor thing, but it's just not economically feasible for me right now. I live in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. You can e-mail me at dennis<dot>j<dot>shannon@gmail<dot>com. I get cheap FedEx rates too.

Well, they both worked the day I bought it. The rear one also stopped working the day I bought it, but I think it's a motor/electrical issue, not the sunroof itself. the front one still works fine.

Hello Everyone,
First let me say that I’m very grateful that so many of you have been interested in parts from my Discovery. It was a hard decision for me to give up on her. It took a full year of frustration to arrive at the decision. Like all of you, I find it a tragedy when another Disco “dies,” and I really didn’t want to let that happen to mine either. That said, I had to make the decision to give up on her.
I know I told a few of you that I’d sell you certain parts for your Discoveries, but a local guy & his son came & bought the whole Rover to restore it like I wanted to do. It was another hard decision for me to make, because I don’t go back on my word easily. I didn’t do it for more money, in fact I would have made a lot more selling the parts, but the fact that my rover will be back on the road & trails again in about a month was too good for me to pass up.
I am very sorry for any disappointments this has caused you. There has been no transaction where I have taken money from anyone, so I’m not indebted to any transaction, but I am very sorry to be backing out of these potential sales. I’m sure you all understand.
