My 2003 automatic 2l freelander (well, obviously the wife's...mine is a disco) seems to be kicking into gear often from 1st to 2nd but other gears as well. This has been happening for about 2 weeks. Today it jammed going into reverse such that it felt as if the handbrake was on whilst reversing.
I have also noticed that when it drops a gear it sometimes powers off a bit causing a slight forward jerk. 3 garages have scratched their heads at this today with the last telling me just to trade it in fast.
Any ideas or should I get a family pack of neck braces?
