Default Injection system removal

Hi all,

I couldn't find an answer in the tech section so I am hoping someone can answer a brief question for me. I have to remove a complete Lucas 14CUX injection system from a Disco I, and I was wondering if the entire manifold and plenum can be lifted off complete with the fuel rail, injectors and wiring or if more dismantling is required.

I assume the ECU, being inside the car, has to at least be disconnected for removal but I was hoping not to have to take the other hardware apart because of time constraints (it's winter in Canada and I'll be outside!). I'm doing a favour for a friend and haven't worked on an injected version of the V8 before.

thanks for any help.

Remove upper plunum, undo fuel lines, unplug injectors, undo fuel rail bolts, gently pry up on rail, injectors are clipped to the rail

To pull the intake iirc you need to remove upper plenum to access wires and bolts

There is no just unplug from ecm to do whst you want, the harness is all together
