Installing puddlelights in front doors
Hello,
I’ve bought the puddlelights (with red and transparant lenses) for installing in the valence and the bottom of both front doors. They came with the connectors.
How does I connect the wiring so they go all four on with the courtesylights in the ceiling and the boot floor ? All pushfit vukbs are 5 W (en not 3W cfr. the diagram of the fusebox in the oassengers compartment.
Thanks !

Hello Srillruns,
These blankins are original.
Perhaps some luxury high end versions (with e.g. supplementary A/C for the second row of seats) could have them ? A few manuals and my owner's guyde do suggest some versions have them.
Greetings,
Pierrodisco

Hello Toran,
I sorted a door switch out for examination, but there’s only just one feed wiring.
What do you intend to connect both wires of each puddle light ?
(the wiring diagram of a Range Rover Classic should be helpfull ?)

I did this on another car years ago. It was a kit that would reflect the symbol of your car logo on the ground when the door opened.
I think it’s a single wire system because either the switch being installed on the metal door forms a ground, so the wire serves as the positive feed. Or it could be in reverse. I hope that helps.

Connecting puddle lights !
Hello Toran (and other interested discofans),
I’ve found the wiring diagram for both these door switches (in yellow colored)
Indeed they are single wired and grounded.
The single wire goes to the “multifunction unit” ; when opening the door, the switch makes contact in these unit to “command / steer” the ceiling lights.
But how does I connect each wire of the puddle light ?

Eager to find a solution,
