it looks like it's going to be that awkward in between temperature here for the next couple of weeks where my startup issue will be happening more often than not, so I am going to go through everything one more time. if I find a resolution I will let you know, because it sure sounds like at least part of your issue may be related.

So out of the 160 people who checked this out no one has any more ideas about my initial problem? I would settle for a way to fix the radio! lol I can deal with a rough idle and stalling, but the radio is just too much!

get yourself an ultra gauge, it's a must-have. that will give hopefully you visibility as to what is going on, as you get great real-time readings from all the sensors and gizmos that make your truck run. you willl be able to check MAF, VSS, TPS, etc as the problem occurs. but my, money is still on adaptive valves, since all was well before messin with the MAF. as for your tunes, are you seriously still running that stock radio with the paper speakers? I did something similar to this, and it worked out great

Here's the link to the Ultragauge people, best sixty bucks you will ever spend

I got all of the readings but I have no idea what they should be. I guess I should have taken a look at them when it was running great. I was looking around on here to see if there was anything on what they should be. I have both freeze frame data and a recording.
The freeze frame is as follows:
ENG SPEED(RPM) 737
CAL LOAD(%) 24.7
COOLANT(F) 151
ST FTRM1(%) 24.2
LT FTRM1(%) 23.4
ST FTRM2(%) 24.2
LT FTRM2(%) 23.4
VEH SPEED(MPH) 0
FUEL SYS 1 CLSD
FUEL SYS 2 CLSD
The recording I took displayed this data.
MIL STATUS ON
ABSLT TPS(%) 12.9
ENG SPEED(RPM) 1239
CALC LOAD(%) 16.5
MAF (LB/M) 0.01
COOLANT(F) 171
IAT(F) 106
IGN ADV 34.5
SECOND AIR ATMOS
ST FTRM1(%) 24.2
LT FTRM1(%) 23.4
ST FTRM2(%) 24.2
LT FTRM2(%) 23.4
VEH SPEED(MPH) 0
FUEL SYS 1 CLSD
FUEL SYS 2 CLSD
02S11(V) 0.965
ST FTRM11(%) 50.8
O2S12(V) 1.020
O2S21(V) 0.970
ST FTRM21(%) 50.8
O2S22(V) 1.020
OBD2 STAT CA

Like I said, I have no idea what they should be so that might as well be a different language.

Intake Air Temp should be pretty close to the ambient outdoor air temp, it's not a 106 deg day out there, is it ?

lol good call, I did notice after changing the MAF that the whole hose has become warm to the touch. I dont remember it being that way before. I also cleaned that sensor, I figured I broke it! I unplugged it and didnt notice any engine difference. The RAVE says that it could cause power loss and would mainly cause problems in high temp environments. Thats why I didnt think it could be one of the problems.

I put my old MAF in to just see what would happen. It fixed the truck!!! I reset the CEL and it hasn't came back on. The rough idle is gone and the power loss is gone. The aftermarket MAF was crap. I guess the truck loved the original MAF so much that she brought it back to life. I am not saying that all aftermarket MAF's out there are crap. My experience is that they ARE for anyone who reads this.
