Its been awhile
Its been awhile fellas. Just stopped by to see what new around here. I sold my 98 D1 about 3-4 months ago and honestly I dont miss it a bit. I would never own a Rover again to be my daily driver. I would however own one for the trails and mountains. I just found the power, gas MPG, etc etc to just plain old suck butt when it came to daily driving duties. Off-road however I was really happy with my Rover. I guess my only gripe as you all know was the weak drivetrain components and the inability to run big tires (35" and up) on a rover without major modifications and major money. BUT as I found out a Rover just doesnt need anything over 33" to be pretty awesome right out of the box. So just saying hello, I'll always have a sweet spot in my heart for rovers and maybee Ill own a wheeling rover again real soon. Your some loyal Motherfuc*ers, I'll give you that!!.

That reminds me of something, my family and I were all getting out of our van at the chiropractor one day, my oldest daughter who's 5, looks at the car next to us and says "ooo Mom look at that pretty car, it was a pale purple Ford escort wagon, the most hideous vehicle I could imagine. I looked at my wife and she just laughed cause she knew what I was thinking.

I worked at a computer store briefly while attempting to go to college. We had an escort wagon to go on service calls. It was impressively scary driving it down the interstate loaded up with a $10,000 color laser printer, which at the time filled the entire back of the car, with the seat folded down. It wasn't exactly designed for heavy loads, I guess.
