Default just a little body work

I am new to the Land Rover World. I just picked up a 95 DiscoveryI it has just a few cosmetic issues. I am not really worried about the appearance too much. My problem is I have some body damage around the drivers side rear taillight. The damage prevents me from being able to repair the taillight leaving my vehicle somewhat illegal to operate. As I looked at this body panel it looks as though it simply unscrews inside the back door jam. If that is the case can I unscrew the body panel and swich it with a donor panel and move on? What do you think?

I saw one in a salvage yard that popped loose in a wreck. I thought it was riveted or spot welded, but I might be wrong. I don't see why that wouldn't work. I know almost all of the body on the rrc up to 94 were held together with screws. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the info. I think I will try to remove my damaged one and then hunt a replacement. I will add pictures of the repair if anyone is interested.
