Default Leaking Bottle Jack Rubber Seals?

Hello Good People,

My red bottle jack is leaking from the rubber located in the middle front of the jack. Would anyone know where to get replacement seals or how to repair this beauty?

T.I.A.

I think you can rebuild these but you might just be better off buying a new bottle jack from harbor freight or something along those lines.

I hear ya!
It just seemed like such an easy fix as I only need the re-fill plug and nothing else.
I'd rather spent a few cents on the plug instead of throwing it away and buying a new $18.00 one. This throw-away-economy will catch up with us sooner than later.

I rebuilt mine. pretty easy really. went to a hydraulic shop and matched internal o-rings. trickiest parts were 1) removing the saddle from the piston (just tap it off with a hammer and tap a bit on each side of the saddle) 2) removing the base from the plastic body (just hold the jack in your hand and tap the base with a hammer moving around to all sides)

toran do you have the metal body or plastic body one. Worth rebuilding, those are my favorite jacks, especially for field use

It’s the metal version.
I got a super tiny pin hole in the rubber fill plug, I can see the fluid bubbling out.

You should be able to find something that will work.
