Default Lift Kit Recommendations

Just purchased a 98’ and looking to do a lift kit. I want to know how high I can lift my rover safely? I was thinking 4” with 33’s, on terra firma kit. Thoughts?

4 inches is just to much for these trucks without having other issues that you likely don't want. What exactly is your intended use? Rock crawling? I believe 3 inches of lift with the right size tire will more than get you where you want to go without having to change other steering components, etc. You CAN do 4 inches but others here will need to chime in and give you advice on what other components you will need to alter as well. I would recommend OME springs/steering stabilizer and Bilstein shocks.

Thank you for the advice, I understand, I realize that 265/75r16 with a 2 or 3 "lift might be enough. I was looking at Terra Firma, I don't know much about the OME's, I'll do my research though. Thank you

Also forgot to answer, but I just bought my first disco 1 to overlanding with the family up here in Canada and when things open up, heading to the states.

Thank you, and I agree, 4" suspension lift is too much, I think I was thinking 4" all together with the lift and tires. I appreciate your advice.I need to do a whole overhaul, it starts but has no brakes, and also overheats at highway temps. I think this little 4.0L may have a head gasket issue that needs looking at first...
