The type of spring you choose, medium or heavy duty, depends on the amount of weight you want to carry.

And FWIW I had Rancho 9 way adjustables - it's a pain in the *** to adjust all of your shocks manually every time you go off road/on road
Yeah, I hated the Rancho setup on my Heep. Never did seem to get the right ride. Having Fox with replaceable valving would have been the way to go. That, and I kept breaking the Ranchos(blowing seals). And I'm sure they were the correct size.

Do you know what valve Fox uses for LR D1 application?

Depends on where you get them I dont know the factory spec but most guys have around 85/95 front 90/100 rear. D2's are different. I'm running 95/100 in the front with the 3-link which may sound crazy but the 3 link makes everything so much softer. Worked out good

Original poster here! Just to let everyone know I put a 1.5 inch suspension lift of the springs and the 265 75 16 tires fit beautiful. Now if only that knock sensor comes in the mail I'll be ready to go

I meant to say that I used the suspension spacers 1.5 inch. This forum doesn't seem to like them but in jeep forums it's seen as a good upgrade

Spacers are really only good for one thing; fitting bigger tires. Spacers won't increase your load carrying capability or replace your worn out springs. And unless you went with longer shocks or moved the stock shock mounts down you will have very little downtavel.
Otherwise spacers are a cheap and easy way to get started. If I were you my next move would be to get longer shocks and make a set of swaybar disconnects. With those thongs you should go pretty far. Also, there is a "cheap bastard" lift where you replace the rears with some Jeep springs(I forget which ones) and then move the stock rear springs to the front. Cost for that maybe $50.
