Default Losing coolant

Out on the trails today and I was heading up a muddy hill, Ended up using a bit too much power and the coolant reservoir tank let loose. Temps got warm and dumped most of the coolant. Once it cooled down, I refilled and it seems to be running at normal temps. BUT.. the tank has developed a pretty steady drip and I am guessing the seam may have separated.

Anyone have a tank laying around?? I have been watching the temp and it was normal for the 12 mile drive home so I think the motor is OK...

If its a black tank then they are known to fail, generally it takes a lot of pressure to make them split but i had one explode with a bang a few months ago.
Best off getting a new one as you dont know how long a used one will last.

Atlantic British has the genuine ones for 75 bucks and cheaper for the black aftermarket ones. Otherwise I would think a local wrecker is best bit. But using tooo much power should not cause overheating enough to empty coolant reservoir. I would start looking into why your cooling system can't keep up before something bad happens. At least if it overheated to overflow it doesn't mean it was exhaust gasses in the coolant for sure.

I did pressure test it a while ago and found the cap was bad, You are probably right about getting a new one vs a used one.

Picked one up off Evilbay for $35 brand new. When it arrived, the box was al beat up and the front mounting tab was half missing. I used it anyways and it seems to be working much better. doesn't leave a puddle when I park, and I don't have to keep adding more coolant!!
