MAF CONNECTOR....surging idle...
Hey all, just thought I'd post this in case anyone else ran into the same issue.....
the idle speed was starting to surge from 200 rpm or lower to normal.....decided to clean the maf and in the process found that if I wiggled the maf connector....the idle would stabilize...
the original connector "looked" good but obviously something wasnt right with the Rover gods....standard auto parts # S745 is a great replacement....fits perfectly was about $15.00
it also has an extra "lip" ?? in it ( blue piece in pic) that seems to stabilize the connection for a less wobbly fit than the original.
