Default mass airflow sensor

well in addition to my 1179 fuel pressure issue my ug is displaying that the maf reading is only .08 g/s I am sure it should be much higher then that, tried several I have same reading

I checked voltage and I have full voltage at the orange wire 14.12 or whatever the alt is putting out

anyone confirm this reading on their ultraguage or scanner?

I believe this is an issue separate from the lack of fuel pressure but I guess it could be related

Tom, I've been trying to find out the same thing.. Mine is reading about the same as yours...

From what I understand it should be between 8-55g/s

I picked up a second MAF from the junkyard it is showing the same values as my existing one... no codes being thrown but starting the truck w/o the maf is about the same as running with... when I plug the MAF in the engine changes just a tiny bit then levels out.

Any suggestions on a reasonable cost replacement unit would be appreciated.

Edit:
https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...aseline-58098/

They seem to agree with the readings...

The problem is there is no way at 3000rpm the engine is only pulling .6g/s ....

perhaps nobody has a working MAF?

Some guys a while back bought cheap new ones from eBay with good results

Maybe there is not an issue?

I have tried 3 or 4 used now almost identical readings

Gotta wonder if there is some math going on in the ECU and the readings are supposed to be skewed? .... The numbers do not seem right at all

I tried to use the Torque Fuel Economy plugin it didn't work but talking to the developer he gave me readings of what it SHOULD be, and the readings are way off..
examples:

2.4mph, 918rpm
Reading: .13 Should be 2.11

40mph, 1763rpm
Reading: .259999 Should be: 34.33

25mph, 1763rpm
Reading: .389999 Should be: 21.65

Just confirmed with fisheh, he has the same readings as well... There has to be something odd going on here.
