As stated in the Auction listing this is one of a very small batch of reconnaissance Land Rovers they were possibly used by elite forces acting as scouts for supply convoys due to there greater visibility. This Land Rover has had an additional roll cage, Wolf Wheels and a Re Conditioned engine fitted it also has one rear facing bench seat. The chassis appears to be in good condition as shown in the photographs.

The first date into service was 23/11/1987

 

Does not matter what it is, it must be 25yrs old or more to be imported into the US.

So 25 years or older is the requirement? So 1987 and earlier qualify then.

Dont know about the wild child but it would be ideal to carry the mother in law around. Might have to be padded as i would not want to hear her banging on the side.

You can import vehicles newer that 25 years old but the rings that you have to jump through are horrendous and the import taxes are astronomical. Also YOU can only import one vehicle, then again my wife can only import one vehicle, my kid can only import one vehicle, you get the picture....
