Default modifying jump seat on drivers side

Hey Everyone,
I think I have been noticing that some of the jump seats on the drivers side of the discovery 1 are installed without rear a/c.

My Question is what is need to get rid of the spot taken up behind the seat where the rear a/c should be. My truck has the spot where rear a/c would go, but its just the black frame around it.

So am I wrong and all the 7 passenger discos have that space taken up behind the seat, or is there a small amount of interior I can find to get rid of that?

not sure of your question, I have rear a/c and the seat is surface mounted and intrudes into the cargo area on drivers side when folded, pass side one folds into a recess that without the seat is a half *** storage area ( much nicer on a disco 2)

Yeah my question was getting new trim pieces for the drivers side to mount the seat more recessed like the passenger side. My truck has the black frame behind the trim on the drivers side, and the crappy plastic window, but I don't have rear A/C.

I just thought I saw some 7 passenger discos that had the drivers seat recessed because nothing for rear a/c was installed at factory.

Unless I am seeing pictures wrong, I assumed it would just be getting trim from a car without rear a/c that does not have the crappy plastic window and frame for rear a/c.

if I recall, there are different brackets for that jump seat to mount it closer and take up the gap left by the A/C.

Yeah so I am guessing that involves most of the trim pieces to work?

it should be recessed with no rear a/c, sounds like you had it and was removed, need to find one in jy or 4 sale section to get the panels you want with shorter brackets

I did notice a wiring harness with a pretty thick wire and ground and some other connections, I am guessing this is the harness for rear a/c.

So they did not come from the factory with just the black frame thing installed? The other question I was thinking is how hard would it be to install rear a/c in these?

If it was removed they did a good job because they would have to change the headliner and everything wouldn't they?

I am actually sort of confused as to what my model even is. It only has power windows, manual locks, but it has leather, and then it also has a subwoofer, which I think is the mid-line radio.

custom ordered? frankin rover?

how do you know no power locks?

I have rear a/c and am starting to think it is a serious waste of space

I am assuming it has no power locks because I don't see any button inside to unlock the doors. The only power in it that I can find is the windows. It has no sunroofs and the seats are all manual

Also it is a manual, which I thought were usually mostly base models and not the higher end models.

*EDIT*
If you decide to rip it out I would buy it from you
