Default Moving to CO - Need shop recommendations

We're moving to Erie, Colorado next month and need recommendations for a good independent LR shop in the area. We drove from Orlando to Colorado on a 2 day journey a few months back to relocate our dalmatian. The steering box was leaking before the 2k mile trip, but it's really coming out of there now.

Any help is appreciated.

I recommend the Cardone remanufactured steering boxes from Partsgeek. They're oem-quality remans for a price you can't beat. Swapping them out is just a few bolts in the frame, a clamp on the steering shaft, and the big nut on the pitman arm. You'll want to use a torque wrench, but other than that, it's just basic hand tools. The procedure is detailed in the RAVE manual.

If you haven't already, you'll want to replace all the steering hoses as well. The most important is the high pressure line from the pump to the box: ANR6656. The low pressure return line is NTC9989. The box to reservoir line is QEH102370 or HYD5012. There's several good suppliers for these parts, and at least one popular Land Rover parts house sells a kit with all three items.

I replaced the box, and three hoses for around $375 in parts and shipping, and about an hour of my own labor.

Not sure if you still need this or not - but British 4x4 in Aurora would be a great choice.

JC Rovers is the shop I used when I lived in Colorado. Very knowledgable and very good customer service. Hook up with Solihull Society, the Land Rover club, when you get to Colorado.
