nice score. I used 1/2" thick metal strap behind my carrier and fabbed a metal plate to raise the bolts up so the spare would clear the bumper. I was worried about the weight, but its been bouncing around back there for a few years and I use the cargo door 95% of the time, That i drive it. no problems!

Had a little time today. I cleaned up my junk yard oil pan and hardware. It had about 40 pounds of Rtv on it. It cleaned up and checks out straight.

While I was waiting for oil to drain, I got tired of looking at thst god awful lower bumper...so off it went. Soon the while thing will get replaced but it just looked like missing teeth to me before.

I also picked this up today. Cant wait to read it and start going on some of these trails.

Good work. Keep it up. It'd be interesting to explore a place like Nevada, where it's open. Here's it's all trees.

Ok got the old pan off . I just removed one end of the tie rod bar and swung it out of the way and the pan came right out. This is what I'm replacing.

Installed the front driveshaft w new hardware and looks like 4wd locked and unlocked works great! Bit of a pain on the transfercase side with removing the flange for the new bolts. All new grade 8 hardware too.Installed my mongo oil filter and Rotella oil...no leaks as of yet. That will change I'm sure. It is a Land Rover.
