Default Need help! I can't get the top swivel bush out

The kit I ordered FTC 125 contains a swivel bush that obviously drives in from the top. The one that is installed doesn't look like you can drive it out from the bottom or the top. I have already nicked the teflon of the swivel housing from beating on the thing so I might be screwed and have to replace the whole thing anyways. I'll post pictures

It looks like the bushing in the first pic should press out either direction, the outside tapered part is machined into the housing, try to take a long drift through the center hole in the larger bushing through the housing the housing to drive the small out from behind then flip and do the same for the large one

A press is probly the way to go, you need to center the bushings over something hollow and larger then them so you have something to drive against

The nicks can be fixed but its a lot of work there is a thread how to do it, better off with a used one, that's just gonna tear up your seal

I have beat the crap out of it in each direction with a punch and a mini sledge. Can you link me to the repair thread?

Both the swivel bush ant the bearing cone are driven out from the inside of the swivel.

If you look at my picture though of the swivel bush, you can see a large flange on the underside that won't allow you to drive the bushing up and out. I can tell the new bushing drives in from the top. It's as if my swivel housing isn't servicable or has some kind of different design.

I got the bushing out, it was just a optical illusion that made it look like it wouldn't drive out from the bottom.

Can't find the thread for housing repair I am sure someone has the link, it is very involved

Clean, fill defects with epoxy? Sand smooth, coat with a certain coating and bake, iirc with dry times it takes like a week to do

Maybe just make sure it is smooth with a file , clean and scrub, fill with some good epoxy, fully cure and sand smooth

May work till you can find a good used one

I mean at a upull I unbolted the swivel housing from the axle housing and pulled the entire thing axle rotor caliper everything, like $65
