Default Need help with O2 sensors

Recently I replaced all four O2 sensors on my 1998 Disco. It's currently back in the shop to fix an issue with both of the upstream sensors. Apparently the $50
NTK 25044 sensors NTK 25044 sensors
I bought weren't meant to be used upstream. The shop wants me to pay $225 each for OEM sensors from Land Rover. Can someone here recommend an aftermarket O2 sensor that can be used upstream on my Disco?

Thanks,

Theo

They are correct for up and downstream. I have em on mine, you have another problem these are probly a symptom

NGK Oxygen Sensor is manufactured to control fuel and ignition system. It is constructed from durable material that is corrosion and abrasion resistant. This oxygen sensor features a sensor which is located before and after catalytic converter to check the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. It sends signal to the computer including air and fuel ratio timing in order to bring the engine into the optimum operating range.

My Disco is equipped with the Advanced Evaporative Loss System. Does this make a difference with regard to the NTK 25044 sensors?

O2 upstream heater open circuit 2 ( both)

I can't see 2 recently new sensors going bad like that something had to cause it, you been running rich from another problem or driving with bad head gaskets?

Are you sure they removed the coils and unplugged the old and plugged in the new? I have seen lazy on vehicles in the past where wire is cut then just butt connect the new in , bad idea can mess with the resistance values

What made you take it in for repair just the cel or bad ruuning

I'm not sure how the shop installed the O2 sensors.

Reason why they were replaced is because the check engine light was on and the codes indicated bad upstream and downstream O2 sensors. I don't think the car was running rich but I'm not 100% sure. The truck was throwing a code for a misfire on [I think] cylinder 1. I had the shop who did the O2 sensors also replace all of the plugs and wires.
