Default Need help with some vibrations

I am really confused and have no where else to look.

Recently my 96 disco1 had a problem where my front driveshaft snapped. Kept the vehicle in dif lock and have had no problems until now.. When i drive it is beginning to vibrate like all hell from what seems to be the front. If i let go of the accelerator it stops shaking and making noise.. Give it gas and the vibrations and clinking starts again and accelerations sometimes takes a little bit (may go up 200 rpms and tone back down after i accelerate) and if i give it more gas it may sometimes not shake or sometimes shakes less. What do you guys think it could be?

Sounds like death wobble. Swivel preload, tie rod ends, panhard bushings, radius arm bushings, loose components, etc... Just search death wobble. I'm facing it now and am about to replace swivel pin thrust washers and bearing.

Thank you for your reply, but with the death wobble doesn't the vehicles shake at the steering wheel really bad? Also, remember that mine is influenced by the power I give it whether I give it a little bit of power to coast and it shakes or if I get it no power to slow down, it stop shaking completely at any speed.

Did you replace the front shaft?

Check u joints on both shafts and make sure the slip part is tight along with the bolts

X2 on motor mounts, transmission mounts. Gently jack up the motor and see if they're separated. Separation is a common issue. I'd also check rotation on the front axle, lift it off the ground and spin it, might have a chunked CV, ring gear, pinion, spiders......

I have yet to replace shaft up front (hence why I'm still on diff lock). I have spoken to a few at work saying sounds like torque converter. My drive shaft snapped like 1000 miles ago. And now it started to make this. It drives and shifts gone mechanically. Just the strange noise when barely giving it any power.

I have the same thing. Vibrates up to speed then levels out once its up and crusin. Let off the gas goes away. I was told it may be tire cupping. I have ignored it for 3 or 4 weeks and it has gotten better but not gone which leads me to believe it is the tires. (cupping area wore down)?

Getting ready to replace the tires, I'll let you know.

I have no steering wheel shake. It feels like the body is shaking.
