Found a 2001 Range Rover SE with 133,000 and the original owner. He wants $6,200.00 for it. Should I take a shot or RUN AWAY and be happy with the (2) D1's?
If I buy both D1's will be for sale to make room. Both now run just fine Mutley has 188.985 and Mutley 2 has 233,153. 1995 is just a V8i and 1996 is an SE.

Run.
The P-38 is the DII's twin and is just as if not more trouble prone.
Even the HVAC is controlled by a computer.

I say buy it, and donate one of your D1's to me. You know, for charity.

Thanks, will show the owner the respect of looking and driving it then just make a DUMB OFFER that if he accepts then I do not get hurt on it.
I heard about the heads gaskets and such what else can I learn in 10 seconds or less.

Thay are the DII twin, DII problems=P-38 problems, and more as they have air ride suspension on all four wheels.

Well this what I have found out today.
1. RR was 100% maintained from new by Land rover.
2. PO was 82 years old, died, bought it new.
3. Every thing from the MSO to the paperwork for title transfer, book with gas purchase in ORDER from new are there.
4. Had a MAJOR overhaul by land rover at 122,565 has 133.105 on the clock
5. Receipts from Item 4 was for $10,352.00
It looks like it is 100% up to snuff and has NEVER been parked outside. These are WEALTHY horse people and the Rover lived in a Climate controlled garage from new.
Will make a low ball offer and see if she takes it. Asking $6.900.00 will try $5,500.00 but would go $6,000.00. Wife is in love with the color and the condition of the unit.
Will see what happens in the next 24 hours.

Based on the history from your last post, I would buy it, you know it has not been abused and it fits right in with the rest of your stable. Go for it.

You don't find vehicles like that very often. Sounds like it is top notch. Even at full asking price since it had so much done.

I would love to have it.
