Default New suspension...

I'm sure this question has been asked, and hundreds of times, so please forgive me...

I need to start working on replacing my stock suspension, and I need some advice.

My Discovery is evenly split between on and off road use, at this point, I'm not sure I want to exceed a 2" lift, so here is the question... What do you recommend?

I found these options, but I'm not sure what to look for in a quality kit....

Land Rover Shock Absorbers & Spring Kit: Suspension Parts From Atlantic British

Thank you for your help!

Super Gaz is NOT Super Good.
The OME set up is much better. However the shocks are short for the lift IMO. If you're not worried about suspension travel much then I wouldn't worry about it.
I would recommend exploring the TerraFirma lift kits. I'd give Justin at Lcuky8 a call and talk with him about lifts. You may find that HD provides too harsh a ride for most of your driving. He knows his stuff and will get you squared away. The TF +2" shocks also offer more travel than the OME shocks.

Have 2" we do light off road/trail riding and use it as a daily driver sometimes plus I have commutes from jersey to Virginia, other then body roll on the highway that I have yet to track the cause we are happy

I got a used 2 " some heavy duty set, used bilstiens and went with a new terrafirma steering damper, think I got $265 into springs and shocks

We did pickup 2" lowered upper shock mounts used as my rear shocks would " top out" cause I do not carry the weight on rear springs require but bought for future weight( roof rack)

We went to 245/75/16 no rubbing at all no other mods needed no camber/caster probs.

If not in a rush you can get great deals on used here and a few other rover sites

Bigger then 2" and you start buying brake lines, long shocks, caster/camber adjusted control arms etc. Ask fishah

So all depends what your ultimate off goal is

Went with the Terrafirma LD 2" kit from Atlantic British. I drive over 100 miles per day for work, travel a few times a month to neighboring states, and love the ride. Off road to this point has been limited excursions on the abandoned logging/fire roads in the national forest around my house, and getting to & from tourist-free fishing spots, but has handled the trips well.

Thanks Ian they seem fine think that lowering the upper rear shock mounts made a huge difference till I get weight on the rear

I have a 2.5" OME lift (perhaps it was originally a 3" that settled since the previous owner installed it).

The ride is super soft, great on the highway, and bonkers fantastic off road over huge rocks with the 33" tires.
