Question Newbie Needs Help !!!!

Hello all,

I recently purchased a 98 and I need some advice on a number of items. I need to mention that I have never owned a 4 wheel drive vehicle let alone a land rover.

1. I took the front wheels off to check the breaks and this is what I found. It appears on the surface that I have an issue with the hub or wheel bearing seals. But I'm not really sure what to make of it.

2. Power steering reservoir and hoses. Looks like the hoses are leaking. Is this common for the truck ? Is this an indicator of a bigger problem or simply in need of a cleaning and tightening.

Please see attached pics. I would be grateful for any advice.

Looks like swivel ball seals to me. Mine leak slightly but I use gear oil vs one shot grease. Power steering line leaks are common. I replaced my low pressure line with a piece from a tractor shop and haven't had any issues since. It wouldn't hurt to pull the hubs and check the bearings and repack or replace them and install new RTC3511 double lip seals.

I agree with CU looks like swivel ball to me, but looks dry, might want to see if there is anything even in them. mine were leaking and they looked wet daily.
