No spark on two cylinders
I have no idea what plugs and wires I'm running to tell you the truth. I've tried different plugs and wires that spark from a different coil pack, but nothing from this one. I'm going to the junk yard tomorrow and gonna grab the ECM off a rover and see if that makes any difference.
And its under the passenger dash. Its bolted to a metal [grey] bracket with relays attached. It is i believe a green box. Remove nut on front [10mm?] an the rear usually just brakes off.
We need a sticky Called: Lesson Learned where experiences such as your recent fiasco and my recent dilema with the Schraeder Valve could be summarized along with the resulting info documented.
It would develop into a list of good things to do.
Maybe include a list of things you should carry on board in event of emergency. Like replacement valve stems and a tool to replace them with.
A brake light switch or emergency small jumper with alligator clips. A paper clip will do if formed and inserted properly.
Have fun everyone. Probe with care.
So my fuel valve is the FIRST such failure of that part, I highly doubt that. It may be the first that you are aware of.......
I had no idea you were tracking all failures, is everyone aware so that all failures get reported to you?
I would venture that of all the Land Rovers manufactured using that part, I sincerely doubt that mine is the first ever failure of that nature..............
The probability of that truly having been a first occurence is not in your favor......................
But if you are sure then..................Maybe you could name the problem after me: Danny Lee's First Time Occurrence of a Failed Fuel Pressure Test Valve.. WOW What an Honor.
