Oak Ridge Estate Trail Ride/ Question about center diff lock
So this last weekend I took the rover to the Virginia Four Wheel Drive Association 22nd Annual Trail Ride at Oak Ridge Estate in Virginia.
Some Pictures of the Fun

My Drivers side rear spring came out of its seat 4 times I have perfected the method of getting it back in with a pickle fork and a rubber mallet ... It now has a nice mirror polish to it

I popped out of a deep hole and the brakes didnt have the umph to stop ... ran right into a tree hard

And Home again to get ready for MAR

Now the question about the center diff lock mine feels spongy when engaging it (not that nice click clack feel my old Disco had) the light comes on but I think it is not engaging properly because the front tires barely have any power to them as you may notice in these videos they never spin like the rear they just sort of quiver this happened on multiple obstacles and on most of them if I had use of the front tires I would have gotten over anyone else have this issue or know what a possible fix may be? Thanks here are the videos youtube really downgraded them.

Check your CDL shifter. I know all too well how much fun that is........ you may have snapped the nylon ball socket on the shifter itself. Other than that it would be the linkage from the shifter. I just went through this twice, my first repair failed, it would shift (without the positive click) and I got a partial lock just like you think you might be getting. If it's not these items then you have a deeper problem inside the tc and oh joy.....
And some guys caught this short one of me getting pinned on the rock too
