OBDII code reader for iPhone
Well gents, after contemplating an Ultragauge I did some research. Being a tech friendly person I looked for something that could leverage the capabilities of my iPhone and believe I've found a very nice solution...
First you'll need an ELM device which takes the data from the ECU and broadcasts it wirelessly. For some reason the bluetooth versions do not work with iPhone so you'll need one that broadcasts via wifi. I purchased this one....
Amazon.com: LYLŽ WIFI Wirless OBD2 Car Diagnostic Reader Scanner Scan Tool for Iphone iPad iOS PC: Automotive
and use an app called "OBD Fusion"
OBD2 Diagnostic Software, OBD Software, Scan Tools | OBDSoftware.net
which can be found in the Apple app store.
The combination works extremely well and is ~ half the price of Ultragauge. I have not yet needed to reset codes so I suppose a grain of salt is in order, but so far, so good.
This is a solution for APPPLE IPHONE only. Android phones have other alternatives available for which I cannot testify.

First: I'm a woman - not a gent, so could you please be nice and include your female counterparts?
Second: It's obvious that you are technically minded as you're using the tilde symbol in phrase rather than writing 'approximately'. Are you an engineer, math major or IT guy?
Third: There is no such thing as an 'APPPLE IPHONE'

But seriously... thanks for posting, I'm just being a brat and I admit it. Too bad I'm not technically minded...
