Hi ! I have a problem with my discover 1 200tdi. The mechanic tried to change the oil cooler hose and it did fit at the engine, but it didn’t fit at the side of the oil cooler it didn’t. It’s an original part but now I’m wondering did I get the wrong hose ? Or is there any solution ? My mechanic fixed it for now but that’s not a longterm solution. Does anyone have any advice ? Thank you so much
Can't tell from the photo if there is an adapter at the oil cooler fitting to the radiator. NAS configuration has small pipe adapters at fittings for oil cooler (and transmission if automatic). Maybe there is a different adapter available?
Guessing it is the wrong hose. Before it was cut and welded, did it look like the oil cooler line you didn't replace?
Hi thanks for your time! It looks different so it must be the right hose. I know there are different from inwards and outwards. Also the oil cooler is original. That’s so confusing.

doesn’t look like there’s already a adapter build in.
I’ll check nas but not sure what to order as I don’t know from what to what I need an adapt as everything is technically on the part fitting together. The pipe we ordered was a aftermarket product, could that be the simple answer? Even when it was fitting at the engine
I must of misunderstood. Thought the hose wouldn't reach the radiator after it was connected to the engine side.
Is it the fitting at the radiator end not correct?
Still hard to tell exactly, but the tell tale thread of teflon tape does indicate that hex part is actually threaded into the radiator. So, the hose may be correct if you get a different adapter. The adapter is used so the hose end can be sealed with an o-ring. The inside is machined precisely to receive the o-ring. Adapters are available for sale from LR parts suppliers here in the US. I also have a set I might never use since my new radiator came with new adapters, but not sure they match the TD5.
Maybe you could get an adapter from the same place you got the hose? Or live with the crappy weld job. Or install a 1/2 inch Swagelok coupling like I did to splice my transmission cooler line, super strong stainless built for high pressure. Not sure you can get Swagelok in DL?
