He was changing the oil over a street sewer and dropped it down thru the grate!

Hey don't laugh, I've seen people do almost exactly that here in AZ.

Yeah, that sure is tremendous for the environment...But it's not like we don't tear up our surroundings enough with our Rovers already..... Lol

According to Scooter, you should do it at the car wash because they have oil extractors.

My dad had a hand dug pit right beside his backyard garage/workshop with a large grate over it. He drained his right there. Black earth theory. We just removed the grate, shoveled in some fine gravel from the driveway and filled it thru some top soil over it and let the grass spread to cover it.

I wouldn't say that too loud, if enough enviro freaks see that comment they'll drive their prisus' over there and slap you with their birkenstocks.
