Oil Filter

To be fair to fram, it's their cheapest orange and black 2 dollar and change ones that are not good. If you step up to the xtra guard, tough guard, etc, they are much better constructed.
The cheapest frams actually use cardboard in the internal costruction.

These oil filter fights could go on for days.
Personally, I only used Fram Tough Guard for several years until I learned about the cardboard end caps, and how loose the anti-drain back valve is. I got spooked, and switched over to Purolator. I honestly can't see the difference. I've logged a LOT of miles on Fram filters, and have never once had a problem.

And for what it is worth, WIX manufactures Carquest, NAPA, DANA, and over 60 OEM brand filters. That does not mean they are all the same quality. WIX has to meet the quality control for each customer, and each customer may have different specs they want met. So unless you have proprietary info regarding WIX and it's customers, it would be impossible to say that any WIX brand filter is the same as a Carquest, NAPA or OEM filter(such as Autolite).
Just a FYI for those interested in a little useless info.

Personally I use NAPA (look for their BOGO sales) and Purolator.
I refuse to pay more than $6 for a oil filter.
