^^^^^^^^THIS

reason 500 why I went with a hybrid homemade lift.....shipping for a "lift kit" was quoted to me at $230.00 to ship the 500.00 kit to me. Ummmmmmmmmmmmm FUC* off please and thank you.

ok, i am extremely interested in this lift and i found springs from a 91 FJ80 and the only other info i can find on them is that they came of an FJ80 with the heavy duty towing package and the 31" tires. Anyone know if those will work?

Why the heck wouldn't they?. Because they are "heavy duty" doesnt change the spring diameter, it just means they might be a tad stiffer due to the numerically higher spring rate. They also might be a tad taller which only equates to a tad more lift. I say do it, its cheap and easy. All you need is the FRONT FJ80 springs. You will put your stock disco rear springs in the front, fj80 coils in rear. have fun.

Lifting the Disco...she said it's a pain as it is to get the kids in their seat belts without getting mud all over herself. Won't let me lift it.

I've got my coils. And was planning on the swap this coming weekend. But after inspection of front coil towers/turrets, they are rusted out pretty bad. So this weekend, I'm gonna start fabbing up some new shock towers. Think I'm going 2" lower than stock on those. LR really did a **** poor job on the design of those factory turrets.

Hey guys, I won't be on here anymore..
I didn't wreck Claire if that is what you're thinking, but stuff happened and I lost her.

Maybe I'll come back, soon hopefully. Thanks for all the good advice and all the help so far. Ciao.
