Smile One of a kind Disco 1?

Land Rover Forums - Land Rover Enthusiast Forum - ainiguez's Album: 1995 Discovery

I came across this members profile and he appears to have a one of a kind Discovery 1. It does have a camel trophy badge BUT its not the traditional yellow like most Camel trucks. Its white with a white grille, white mirror housing and a "SS" badge. It looks very nice and I want to learn more about it. Any idea what it is? The member has not been on here in awhile so...

"Camel Trophy" Rovers are like Yenko Chevys. Very cool and very rare. Especially considering the punishment these Rovers went through. A lot of people make their own version.

"SS" means super sport, it was a badge used on muscle cars of the '60's and '70's.
Yes the Camel Trophy badge was added to that truck too.
Someone tried to ghetto out their truck.
Here is what a real Camel Trophy Discovery looks like.

Camel Trophy vehicles - Land Rover Discovery

These trucks are not that rare, but they are very expensive, there are clubs of CT owners and they still take their trucks off road.

There are imitation CT trucks as well.
If done right you cant tell the difference.

Sunroofs and automatic transmission? I thought that all the D1 CT vehicles were diesel with no sunroofs and a manual transmission? and how can the interior be so flawless if it was truly used in the CT events? Ive seen those videos on youtube and those CT disco's got rear really banged up and dirty as all hell. Looks like this truck for sale never saw the wilderness. BUT it is very nice though. I almost would not mind having one.

All the Camel Trophy ones are diesel and 5-speed.
The one listed for sale is a V8 and auto trans, it is a promotional unit.
It was never used in a Camel Trophy event.
