Default Over heating 97Disco

I just replace the radiator water pump and the fan clutch oh yeah and couple of hoses here and there and cleaned out some hoses that were clogged by the heaters core I think basically did all I’m thinking that is connected to the cooling system am I leaving anything out well anyways it does well when I’m driving normally but yesterday it was 97° here in town 5 o’clock traffic no sooner than 20 minutes from work to my 97 starts to overheat I manage to get out of traffic drive a little bit and the temperature went down weird so I’m guessing that it’s just it basically Has to do with some kind of airflow or water flow issue I’m stumped I check the water level and it seems to be OK Well anyways is there anybody can help me out I hope so thanks for listening

It’s possible that there maybe an issue with a head gasket. Mine started out this way and it finally failed. I’m not a D1 expert but this is just my personal experience.

Maybe get a cheap scanner that reads the engine temperature. That is more accurate than the dash gauge.
