Cool

Just installed the pcv catch can. I can post a picture if anyone wants to see.
Aside from that however, It's putting out some blue smoke when revved up. The pcv is not creating any vacuum leaks. I put the catch can on the passenger valve cover side. I suppose I should take it for a test drive. What else could, or should I do?

Where is the blue smoke coming from? Did the filter and new hose change or settle the idle? Looks fine from here, even upside down.

Every time you rev the motor? Have you popped a valve cover off yet? If not you should. If the PCV was blocked for a long time you'll get to see what carbon looks like in person, it will be everywhere. The valve cover seals are probably baked to hard plastic and so would your valve stem seals. Neither like carbon, both will leak oil. Your engine is very clean for the mileage so I doubt it's been mistreated or too neglected.

See if you can turn the throttle cable down to 625 +/- 25 rpm, that is spec.

Yes there's blue smoke every time I rev the motor. No I haven't popped the valve covers yet but thought about it. I didn't because I knew I would have to replace them and I guess I didn't want to spend money for no major reason. I probably should have. I guess I'll just run it like this for now.

Wink Wish I could change the title of this forum

I think I got rid of p0300 and p0366. Just took the car for a test drive like I usually do and the check engine enables light was steady instead of flashing. I scanned it and only gave p01316 and p0451. I have my fingers crossed that the pcv catch can did the trick. I'm pretty optimistic at this point.

I'll come back with an update on the oil level in the catch can later.
