PCV air intake filter

looking to clean the PCV filter (on passenger side valve cover) and noticed that on the drivers side valve cover there was a nipple with nothing attached. Looked it up in RAVE and there is supposed to be a PCV air intake filter located there. Is that missing or not part of this engines spec? (95 V8i)

Thanks I will. This the part that's missing?
The kit that Atlantic British offers is different in that it connects to the manifold. There is an empty socket in the manifold. The video from AB shows it connecting via a rubber hose to the manifold.

It allows the crankcase to vent into plenum through the oil separator but will also allow some of the piston bypass gases to escape to atmosphere. Just press it into the rubber seal if it's still there. What happens if the separator and flame trap are blocked is it builds pressure in the crankcase and will eventually bow the intake valley gasket right up under the plenum like an old time friend. Eventually this will give way and your crank case will vent to the weakest spot. When the crankcase is pressurized it slows piston travel, like a shock absorber, not very efficient in producing power, more throttle is applied, lousy fuel economy is realized.

Nor sure which one I'm supposed to have, the pic that I showed from RAVE or the one from AB that connects to manifold.
This is what I have currently
Is this where it should be connected to manifold?

If you still have the square air box/filter then that port on the valve cover gets vented into the top right side of the air box with a vacuum hose...no filter required.
Have a look...

"So just hookup a vacum line from the airbox to the port on valve cover?"
That's all you have to do.
If you want to clean/clear the valve cover port go ahead. The amount of crud that would be in there will do ZERO harm to the engine. If it worries you spray some WD-40 in the port and the crud will "dissolve".
