Default Proper replacement fuel pump

On my 98 D1, I have an extended crank in the morning. With the pressure gauge on, I am getting low 30's at idle, and when the engine is shut off the pressure drops to 0. If I clamp off the return line, the pressure still drops. When I clamp off the pressure line right as I shut the engine off the pressure holds at 30 and climbs a little because of the residual heat. This tells me my rail, regulator, and injectors are all ok. So I know I need a new pump. What is an acceptable solution? I do not intend to do any modifications where I will need a high flow pump. Is this an acceptable solutuion:

I would suggest you go to Advanced Auto and buy a Airtex E-3270 or the E -3240 for higher performance for around $80.
I can't believe someone is selling a used one for $75.

Are you sure the Airtex E-3270 will fit? If it will, i'll just buy it here: Amazon.com: Airtex E3270 Electric Fuel Pump: Automotive

That's a good thread, however I know how to change the pump. I already had to fix a previous half assed repair. I am asking what is a good replacment pump. I guess that the OE pump is a Delco.

Are there not part numbers for the pump in that thread?
If not I thought there were.
But yes, it is the Airtex pump.

Is it Airtex E-3270 or E-3210? Most of my searches turn up E-3210

Here's what I found and it would apply to your '98.

Ok, I went with this one: NEW FUEL PUMP WITH INSTALLATION KIT E3270 | eBay The description shows all the proper specs and says it is a Airtex pump. I guess people have problems with the 3210, but not with the 3270. I also verified that my regulator is working properly. I get nearly 40 psi when the regulator line is unplugged, I also get a quick jump when the throttle is snapped. I also see a drop in pressure after the snap. I may have more problems with the pump than just the leaking check valve. The pump and filter should take care of my problems, including the extended crank.

I also got a new fuel filter.
