Pulling Transmission out of 96 D1
I'm planning on pulling the transmission in my 96 D1 tomorrow. Does anyone here have experience with that or know of a write up on how to do it? I can't find any info on my Rave disc that gives the procedure for this. I have a donor trans out of a 99 that I'm putting back in.
Thanks for any help you guy's can provide.

Somewhere along the line I picked up an R380 gearbox overhaul manual which is, I think, what you need. Download it here...

Rent/beg/borrow/steal a transmission jack! You will never get the transmission swapped out if you get killed by the transfer case falling on you. The LT230 is one of the worst to balance and you really need a proper jack.
Remove the transfer case input gear before attempting to remove the case since it will dig into the floor before it's far enough back to clear the splines of the transmission output shaft.
